Recommended book to purchase on the Internet or order locally; Howard Spodek, The World’s History, Volume II: Since 1100 (Third Edition). This book is lovely but not necessary to take the course.
Charlotte Staelin (History Ph.D. University of Michigan, 1977) has taught many semesters of World History to undergraduates and now loves to discuss world events with more mature students.
